Map the promise into the product
Take the outcome used to sell the offer and trace the first path to it. For a human, inspect setup, explanation and feedback. For an agent, inspect credentials, outputs, errors and recovery.
Instrument the value moment
Define the event or evidence that says the promised outcome happened. A signup, click or successful request alone may not be sufficient. Keep buyer, user and account identity distinct where the product requires it.
Improve the whole decision
Offer research, UX and product analytics can share one hypothesis and baseline. That reduces the risk of winning a purchase that immediately creates disappointment or expensive support.
